Know When to Cancel the Meeting

When a meeting has accomplished its goal - bring the meeting to an end.

When a meeting group has achieved its purposes and goals - celebrate and cancel the ongoing meetings.

When there is no longer funding to pursue goals or to hold meetings - celebrate what has been accomplished, take time to mourn what might have been; then cancel the meeting and move on into the future.

When the right people are not in the meeting room - cancel the meeting.

When decision-makers are missing from the meeting - figure out what you can cover or cancel the meeting.
Make every meeting worthwhile, or cancel the meeting!

“Know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em, know when to walk away.” - Song lyric

“Even when a meeting has been called, the gathered group can decide to end a meeting early or even to cancel a meeting when there is nothing to discuss.” - Jana Kemp
